The National Candida Society was set up by Dr. Christine Tomlinson,
an ex-sufferer. Publicity
for the launch was provided by the Mail on Sunday's
YOU magazine. This has been reproduced with
permission in Launch.
To date, we have helped over 5,000 people,
and have established 30 support groups in
the UK. We are a member of Allergy Alliance
- an
umbrella group for a number of allergy-related
organisations campaigning for better education
for doctors and better NHS support.
Our quarterly newsletter, the Candida Digest,
always carries the latest contact information
for support groups. Support group leaders
receive free membership of the society
in addition
to all of the benefits of membership [see Services].
